Our journey began over five decades ago in the heart of our community. What started as a modest medical initiative by a small group of visionary healthcare professionals has evolved into a cornerstone of regional health infrastructure.
Driven by the belief that high-quality medical care is a fundamental human right, the founders focused on reaching those most marginalized. In 1972, the first primary health clinic opened its doors, prioritizing maternal care and preventative medicine when such resources were scarce.

THE TRANSITION
From Aspiration to Action
By the early 2000s, it became evident that basic primary care was not enough. The rise in curable blindness and surgical complications in our region demanded a more specialized response.
In 2003, we transitioned our focus toward specialized surgical interventions. This strategic pivot required significant mobilization of resources, partnerships with international NGOs, and a rigorous training program for our local staff to ensure the highest standards of surgical excellence.

Khairun’nisa Eye Hospital
Inaugurated to address the epidemic of cataracts and preventable blindness, the hospital became our flagship institution, integrating high-volume surgery with compassionate care.
The years between 2009 and 2016 marked a period of unprecedented structural growth. We didn’t just build facilities; we built a sustainable ecosystem of health.
This era saw the implementation of our digital records system and the establishment of a dedicated ophthalmology residency program, ensuring the next generation of surgeons were trained on-site.
